요한복음 1장 The Message

Chapter 1 The Life-light was the real thing: Every person entering Life he brings into Light. He was in the world, the world was there through him, and yet the world didn't even notice. He came to his own people, but they didn't want him. But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood begotten, not fresh begotten, not sex begotten. The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish. John pointed him out and called, "This is the One! The One I told you was coming after me but in fact was ahead of me. He has always been ahead of me, has always had the first word." We all live off his generous bounty, gift after gift after gift. We got the basics from Moses, and then this exuberant(무성한) giving and receiving, This endless knowing and understanding- all this came through Jesus, the Messiah. No one has ever seen God, not so much as a glimpse(힐끗봄). This one-of-a-kind God-Expression, who exists at the very heart of the Father, has made him plain(명백하게) as day.

그 생명의 빛은 실제적인 것이었다: 모든 사람이 생명으로 들어와 그는 빛속으로 이끌어 들인다. 그는 세상안에 있었고, 세상은 그로 말미암아 있었으나, 세상은 심지어 주목하지도 않았다. 그는 그의 사람들에게 왔으나, 그들은 그를 원치 않았다. 그러나 그를 원하는 사람은 누구나, 그를 요구하는 자 그리고 그가 말한 것을 행하려 하는자에게 그는 그들을 진정한 자아로 만들어, 그들의 하나님의 자녀로 되게했다. 그러한 것은 하나님으로 부터 난 것으로, 혈통으로나, 육신으로나, 성으로 난 것이 아니었다. 그 말씀은 육체와 피가 되셨고, 이웃들 속으로 들어가졌다. 우리는 우리가 가진 눈으로 그 영광을보고, 한 종류의 영광을, 아버지와 같은, 아들과 같은, 안으로나 밖으로 아끼지 아니하고 시작부터 끝까지 진실이다. 요한은 그를 가르켜 말하기를, "이분이 그분이다! 그분은 내가 너희에게 말한 내 뒤에 오시나 사실은 내 앞에 계신분이다. 그는 항상 내 앞에 계셨고, 가장 첫번째 말씀으로 있었다." 우리는 모두 관대한 박애에 살고있는데, 주시고 또 주시고 또 주신 것이다. 우리는 모세로부터 기초를 다졌고, 그리고 나서 이런 무성한 주어짐과 받음이 있다. 이 끝이 없는 지식과 이해 - 모두 이것은 예수, 그 메시아로 부터 왔다. 아무도 하나님을 본 사람이 없고, 힐끗보지도 못했다. 이것은 하나님의 나타내심의 한 종으로, 아버지의 그 마음으로 존재하고, 그를 낮처럼 명백하게 만들었다.
