부활에 대한 소망

Waiting to Be lifted Up with Christ

Waiting for Christ's second coming and waiting for the resurrection are one and the same. The second coming is the coming of the risen Christ, raising our mortal bodies with him in the glory of God. Jesus' resurrection and our are central to our faith. Our resurrection is as intimately related to the resurrection of Jesus as our belovedness is related to the belovedness of Jesus. Paul is very adamant on this point. He says, "If there is no resurrection of the on this point. then Christ cannot have been raised either, and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is without substance, and so is your faith"(1 Corinthians 15:13-14)

Indeed, our waiting is for the risen Christ to lift us up with him in his eternal life with God. It is from the perspective of Jesus' resurrection and our own that his life and our derive their full significance. "If our hope in Christ has been for this life only," Paul says, "we are of all people the most pitiable"(1 Corinthians 15:18). We don't need to be pitied, because as followers of Jesus we can look far beyond the limits of our short lives on earth and trust that nothing we are living now in the body will go to waste.

그리스도와 함께 들림 받게 되기를 기다림

그리스도의 두 번째 오심과 부활을 기다리는 것은 하나요 같은 것이다. 두 번째 오심은 살아나신 그리스도가 오시는 것이다. 우리의 죽어야 할 몸이 그와 함께 하나님의 영광가운데 일어나는 것이다. 예수님의 부활과 우리의 믿음이 중심이 되는 것이다. 우리의 부활은 예수님의 부활과 긴밀하게 연결되어 있는 것은 예수님을 가장 사랑하는 것과 연결된 우리의 사랑인 것이다. 바울은 매우 이 포인트에 매우 견고하다. 그는 말하길 “만일 이러한 포인트에 부활이 없다면, 예수님은 일어나시지 않았을 것이고, 만일 그리스도께서 일어나시지 않았다면, 우리의 설교는 실체가 없는 것이고 그래서 우리의 믿음이다.” (고전 15:13-14)

사실, 우리의 기다림은 하나님과 함께 영원한 생명 안에 그와 함께 우리를 높이시는 살아나신 그리스도를 기다리는 것이다. 예수님의 부활의 원근법이며 우리의 가진 것은 그의 생명이며 우리의 그 충만한 의미를 끌어내는 것이다. “만일 우리의 소망이 그리스도 안에서 오직 이 생명뿐이면” 바울은 말한다. “우리는 모든 사람들 가운데 가장 가련한자라”(고전 15:18). 우리는 가련할 필요가 없는 것은, 왜냐하면 예수님의 추종자인 우리는 우리의 이 땅의에서 짧은 생의 한계를 넘어서고 우리가 몸 안에서 살아있는 것이 헛되이 지나가는 아무것도 아님을 믿는 것이기 때문이다.

  그리스도의 재림과 부활에 대한 소망은 동일한 연장선에서 보았다. 우리 믿음의 실체는 바로 이 재림의 시간에 온전한 부활을 경험하는 것이기 때문이다.
   바울사도의 고백처럼 "만일 그리스도안에서 우리의 소망이 이생뿐이면 우리가 모든 사람가운데 더욱 불쌍한 자"라는 말씀이 우리의 부활의 소망이 분명한 것임을 반증해 주고 있다.
   이 땅 너머의 삶을 생각할때, 우리의 이땅에서의 삶은 소망은 갖고 의미를 충만하게 가질 수 있는 것이다.
