God's Unconditional Love

What can we say about God's love? We can say that God's love is unconditional. God does not say, "I love you, if ..." There are no ifs in God's heart. God's love for us does not depend on what we do or say, on our looks or intelligence, on our success or popularity. God's love for us existed before we were born and will exist after we have died. God's love is from eternity to eternity and is not bound to any time-related events or circumstances.

Does that mean that God those not care what we do or say? No, because God's love wouldn't be real if God didn't care. To love without condition does not mean to love without concern. God desires to enter into relationship with us and wants us to love God in return.

Let's dare to enter into an intimate relationship with God without fear, trusting that we will receive love and always more love.

하나님의 조건없는 사랑

우리가 하나님의 사랑에 대해 말할 수 있는 것은 무엇인가? 우리는 하나님의 사랑이 무조건적이라는 것을 말할 수 있다. 하나님은 이렇게 말씀하지 않으신다. “만약.. 한다면, 나는 너를 사랑한다.” 하나님의 우리를 위한 사랑은 우리가 하는 일이나 하는 말에 좌우되지 않고, 우리의 보는 것이나 지식에, 또 우리의 성공이나 인기에 좌우되지 않는다. 우리를 위한 하나님의 사랑은 우리가 태어나기 전부터 존재했고, 우리가 죽은 후에도 존재한다. 하나님의 사랑은 영원부터 영원까지 있고, 어떤 시간적 관계된 사건이나 주위상황에 매이지 않으신다.

하나님이 우리가 행하거나 말하는 것을 돌보지 않으시는가? 아니다. 하나님의 사랑은 만일 그가 돌보지 않는다면, 진실이 아니다. 조건 없이 사랑하는 것은 관계없이 사랑한다는 것을 의미하지 않는다. 하나님은 우리가 관계성 안으로 들어가기를 열망하시고, 돌이켜 하나님을 사랑하기를 원하신다.

두려움 없는 하나님과의 친밀한 관계 안으로 들어가고자 애를 쓰자. 우리는 사랑을 받아들일 것이고, 항상 더 많은 사랑에 그러할 것을 믿어보자.
